[Winds are blowing from Skyhold, when Norrington plucks up his crystal and frowns at it.]
... I am always interested in building more trust within the ranks of the Inquisition. [He stated slowly, but if Adelaide was behind it, he was less inclined to be wary.] What did the two of you have in mind?
( She can understand the caution, all things considered. Stranger, and maybe he knows about a rifter called Ruby, and maybe he knows about a rifter wolf called Ruby. Fun times. )
Friendly competition, actually. Councilor LeBlanc would make a few fortresses out of ice, then we're randomise teams to mix up who's working together, and then it would be a game of flag capture, if you have something like that here in Thedas. Snowballs, though, rather than magic or weapons for the sieging and all that, which I think the Councilor's students would provide.
[He has heard of the Rifter named Ruby, to be sure, but not about the wolf. Not yet, anyways.]
Ah! [Now his voice brightens.] I think that would be a good idea - something to, ah, help bridge the gaps between us. Will everyone be included? What about the children?
Uhh... huh, I hadn't actually considered the kids. I think maybe just adults? Even with no weapons and the best intentions, if you get a bunch of grown ups into competition it can get a little rowdy.
( There's a smile in her voice. ) Maybe we could make sure there are benches for observers to laugh at us all getting splattered with snow, and the kids could have hot cocoa, or something.
So when I write up a formal proposal to persuade the Mage Council that it's worth using some resources for you'd be open to me including your support for the idea?
[ Her voice is somewhere between terrified and simply distraught, breath coming in gasping pants. She's on the move, doesn't have much time to talk, but she promised. ]
We had to leave. We have griffon hatchlings and Corypheus might be here and-
The First Warden put the king in the dungeons. [ human politics, pls fill in the proper terms, James ] The Wardens are fighting among each other about it, some of the mages are being overtaken by the demons. I don't- I don't know where the others are, it's just me and Mal and Anders and Nathaniel and the Roostmaster, and the thirteen hatchlings and Mal's dog and horse and Anders' cat-
[ A deep, sucking breath. ]
Tell Leliana, she has to know about the Anderfels. And- and I'll talk to you again when we're clear.
[ Should James respond, he won't get a reply for a while, until after the Inquisition reinforcements have driven back their pursuers and the teams have regrouped with each other. ]
